— This Agronomist will be responsible for all agronomic operations including compilation / analysis of soil samples, development / implementation of crop plans and crop production oversight to minimize costs and maximize yields. Other duties to include: install/setup/calibrate sensors, controllers and displays in equipment, troubleshoot all GPS issues, quality control of all field operations and record keeping of all historical data on crops along with paperwork.
— - BS Agronomy or Ag-related degree preferred
— - 3 or more years consultative Agronomy experience with Midwestern Crops including soil sampling, pest scouting and data management
— - Solid knowledge/understanding of corn and soybean crops with ability to create/implement crop plans and make informed recommendations for crop inputs purchases
— - Ability to advise crop growers on best agronomic practices for raising corn and soybeans in the Midwest
— - Good knowledge of precision Ag systems and VRT a real plus
— - Ability to step in temporarily to spray a field or perform other equipment operation as necessary
— - Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software
— - Previous use of CRM software or ability to learn
— - Previous use of GPS / GIS software and systems or ability to learn
— - CCA certified or ability to obtain
— - Class A CDL preferred or ability to obtain
— - Private Pesticide license or State Applicator's license
— - Valid driver's license with ability to travel to 30%, some to adjoining states
